It is situated off the A59 Skipton Road, approximately nine miles west of Harrogate, in North Yorkshire. It occupies around one square mile of moorland. The ministry of defense own the base and made available to the US Ministry of Defense. This base is Americans largest eavesdropping center in Britain. The base comprises of family housing, community facilities and high-technology installations and structures that are tightly guarded.
